The expansion of this world-reknowned leading pediatric care hospital provided much needed state-of-the-art facilities for the future. Specific acoustical challenges addressed include a highly sound absorptive sculptural Lobby ceiling, an MRI imaging suite located directly underneath a new prayer chapel, a hybrid OR with sliding doors to imaging diagnostic rooms, back-to-back recessed patient headwalls, and an analyses of noise from the vertical wind turbine to adjacent occupied spaces.
